My advice about your cheek is to blow it out often to make sure it didn't catch. Also wax anything that sticks out to catch and chew on the left side.

I think I'm at the ortho's a lot. I think I went in 3 times before my first adjustment. Now they clip the wire almost too short so I"m not in all the time. They have bent hooks and the ortho even ground off the back of a bracket that was poking me. Hydration really works tho. If I think a wire ...

Well, I can sympathize with you and the expander thing.

I used a lot of salt water rinses to help my tongue heal. I was never sucessfull at putting the wax on my expander but you can certainly try it.

It's great to hear from you. I wondered how you were doing. My numbness is pretty well gone. Just a little bit left in the gums. I don't notice it until I floss. I have gone to far and got blood before pain. I hope your surgery will come quickly. I'm very lucky that I don't have any more in the work...
