Re: Clear drinks with Invisalign
Also, what about mouthwash? Can I only use clear mouthwash only and would it be a problem if I leave a little bit of mouthwash residual in the invisalign tray?

Re: Clear drinks with Invisalign
Thanks for advice DrJasonTam. Does sugar-free product causing cavity? My understanding is that a lot of sugar-free products contains artificial sweetener, but I am not sure whether they would cause cavity as much as a sugary product.

Hello Can someone tell me what kind of drinks you can have when the Invisalign retainer is on? Does it limit to drinking water only or any 'clear' drinks will be fine such as 7-up, Gin & Tonic , white wine etc? I need to do social drinks occasionally, and it usually involves drinking for a few h...

Re: Decision time- Invisalign or Lingual
Hello SinkFullOfDinner, thank you for your advice. Unfortunately the two options are with two different orthos so I can't switch easily if I am not happy with the results. You are right that there is probably not perfect invisibility, I have read good and horror stories for both methods, I suppose s...

Re: Is invisalign really invisible?
Thanks everyone. I am very self-conscious with my teeth so it's good to know that we can advise the ortho before they approve the treatment. I have never met anyone with invisalign before so this is really useful. Thank you so much for your advice!

Re: Set back about lingual treatment
Thank you so much for sharing this! I have read few cases where they had to switch to normal braces towards the end too- I guess there are certain things that would be difficult to fix with lingual technology!
Have you finished your treatment now?

Decision time- Invisalign or Lingual
Hello I have seen 3 orthos, did extensive research and now I am down to two options; Lingual or Invisalign INVISALIGN: Ortho 1 (treated 500+ patients with invisalign) Pros: 1. £3000 CHEAPER than lingual 2. Less speech problem in comparison to lingual Cons: 1. More visible than lingual option (especi...

Is invisalign really invisible?
Is invisalign really invisible?
I looked up invisalign videso on youtube, some of them are quite visible!
Do people notice the aligner when you started the treatment?
I am considering between lingual and invisalign, and wondering which one is more invisible?

Re: Set back about lingual treatment
Right, I went to see Ortho 3 and he has advised me to get Invisalign instead! Now I am really thinking they recommend what they can do best. I told him I heard a lot of skeptical story about Invisalign but he said it has changed in recent years. He is very confident that he can fix my teeth using in...

Re: Does wax fix the speech problem?
that's useful to know.
It sounds like we can use any silicon material as wax? I read some people use earplug as the wax...but not sure how effective it is..

Re: Set back about lingual treatment
and the big curveball was having to switch to regular (ceramic) braces for the finish.
That's a big twist! what was the reason? I always thought lingual does the same job as the metal/ceramic braces!
