Re: Sensitive/bleeding gums?
Make sure you are doing a good job flossing underneath the gumline. Many people only floss between the teeth, and do not floss up as far as it will go underneath the gumline. Its common when there is a buildup on the gumline for it to bleed when it gets disturbed(like when you poke it with your prox...

Re: Nearing debanding - not happy with right side of my teet
Maybe the result is just the compromise you had to make because of not getting the surgery? I am not sure. If he says that's the way it supposed to be, it doesn't seem like he is able to do what you want. Best thing to do is to consult with other orthodontists in your area and see what they have to ...

I would think your overjet is well within acceptable range, but I am no pro. Your teeth are really nice!

Re: Retainers
Considering he has given you the choice, then I assume he feels either one will accomplish what you need it to. In that case, i'd go with the removable and be sure to wear it exactly as he prescribes.

Yes you could demand to have your braces off, I don't know why you would want to though. Its not like your dr. is intentionally trying to torture you, or she loves you so much as a patient that she wants to keep you around as long as possible. The 24 months term you were given is just a(educated) gu...

The MAIN issue is that mouth breathing tends to cause the maxilla to grow down rather than out resulting in a MUCH less attractive face for the adult if they mouthbreathe in the developmental years. The following features are associated with mouthbreathing and cant really be fixed without expensive...

You know, that is kind of an unnecessary comment, and kind of mean. Reddress didn't ask for your opinion regarding that, I don't believe. Yeah, after what you two have been saying about this girl I am the mean one. Reddress said I wish somebody just said it plain to me: Yes your teeth are not great...

Now what is really foolish is to say that plastic surgeries are all evil because Michael Jackson is dead. LMAO I didn't say plastic surgeries are evil because Michael Jackson is dead(but hey now that you mention it, I am sure all those botched surgeries did contribute to his mental state which cont...

Some jaw surgeries are far more intrusive then some plastic surgeries, what would you say to that? I would say that jaw surgery cases have actual deformities and that while it does provide an aesthetic benefits, it also provides a functional benefit as well. To compare her case to somebody who need...

I don't agree with the advise that if somebody has an issue with their body, they should fix it through plastic surgery. I think the issue runs deep in their own mind and can be resolved through less drastic measures. Plastic surgery can make things worse. Perfectionists can really be their own wors...

Its ok to have your teeth straightened. But recommending this girl have plastic surgery and 4 teeth pulled just to have her face pushed in is drastic. She has a great smile that is perfectly straight and the teeth do not flare or anything like that. Not to mention it could actually have quite negati...
