Re: Confess your orthodontic sins.

I drink clear alcohol with my aligners in - I've specifically made clear ocean recipes for it

I also drink smoothies and iced coffee through a straw

Re: The start of a new, more confident me :)

Welcome 12-18 months is pretty quick if that's how long it takes. What I've noticed is we always think our problems are so much worse than they are or worry they are - I had all kinds of thoughts about what would need to be done to me and worst case scenarios in my head before the appointment and th...

Comparison Day 1 vs Week 6

So I think there's definitely BEEN progress - obviously not as much as I'd like but I'm impatient anyway

Re: Time to blossom - lilyflower's story

Week 6 Update: So back from my orthodontist appointment which took less than 15 minutes - even with having the attachment that came off rebonded. Turns out it's more a retention (keep the tray in) attachment than a critical one. Got my next 4 sets today and go back in 8 weeks. I was warned that I wa...

Re: Breakfast on the go ideas?

Update for my fellow Invisalign peeps - smoothies are fine - use a straw, stick away from the brightly colored ones and brush after. Also okay: vanilla ensure (through a straw), iced coffee (again through a straw but be extra careful if you take it black), clear alcoholic beverages or those with cle...

Re: Can my top left front tooth move back to its original place after wearing 3 aligners for 3.5 weeks?

You need to call your ortho or dentist to find out if you should fall back.

Don't throw out aligners until you have your doc's blessing (and even then I would say at least keep them until the end of treatment because then you can see a before and after)

Re: Week 1 - Unsure if I made a huge mistake!

Attachments don't always adhere on the first try - especially if you have a lot of them being put on. In the office, at least 2 had to be put on during a second attempt and then two more came off at home in the first 24 hours. I had them rebonded - it was no big deal. Remember that anything that loo...

Re: I did it!

Hello Everyone, Well, today was the day. I went in for my appointment. I will have some attachments, but none on my front 4 teeth, so that is great news! I will also have a little bit of IPR on some oversized crowns. They want to do IPR on one of my front teeth, they say it is a wee bit bigger than...

Re: Time to blossom - lilyflower's story

It seems as though you are making fantastic progress. Things are starting to look quite well aligned in the front. Have you reached the point of only checking progress occasionally? I'm just barely past my first week and notice changes every day, but I seem to remember rapid changes happening less ...

Re: Breakfast on the go ideas?

Have you tried smoothies? I think I'm gonna try those. You can pre-freeze the fruit and veggies that you'll put in , and then just grow those in the lender with yogurt/coconut milk/other liquid in the morning. Then you can put it in a go mug with a straw. Have you had any other good breakfast ideas...

Re: Invisalign G5 for Deep Bite

I wanted to follow up on this thread and say that I met with several providers who handle many Invisalign cases and they thought I would be a candidate for Invisalign. Basically, my results won't be quite as perfect as with braces, but for me as long as I can get pretty close I'm ok with it. I've o...
