I admit I got teased @ work at first. However, I have the type of personality that makes me be able to laugh at myself. Plus, my coworkers have told me they appreciate the fact I am doing something to correct my teeth and smile. They love seeing the progress too.

nice~ what type of braces are you using? Thanks guys! I have no idea what kind of braces I have. I will try to find out the next time I go to the ortho. I know they aren't self-ligating. I have eaten popcorn. Just got back from watching the new Harry Potter flick and had some. My thing with the no-...

Been A Whole Year

I can actually believe I have been braced for a year. I will be soo glad when my braces are gone. I miss corn on the cob. I swear this year's bbq isn't the same without it. I wouldn't trade this experience for the world. I just wish I would have done this sooner. Sorry the now pics are soooooo huge ...

Even before braces I could go monthS without flossing...maybe even years but now I make an effort to do it at least twice in a month...it is more of a pain than ever...to me flossing is overrated until a piece of steak is stuck in between my teeth

i have a b.s. in biology and hand sanitizer works as well if not better than soap and water. as far as antiseptic it should do the job killing the germs...but its good to be concerned about these things.

I put about 1700 USD down and pay 140 USD a month. So far the results have been worth every dollar spent. However, there are times when I do feel guilty spending the money when it could possibly go towards other bills like student loans. I wasn't about to wait for forever to get these things. I hone...

Time does fly by. I think I handle my braces in a cycle. I dred them for about a month or two then wake up one morning and see a gap closed or a tooth move dramatically, get excited for an adjustment, dred the discomfort afterwards, get in a funk because I don't see movement for awhile, and then wak...

I am so grateful that my O is in the 21st century and uses a computer. There is a pc at every chair so my O simply pulls up my records takes a look at them and my mouth tells the assisant (sometimes does stuff too) what to do the assisant follows the instructions and the O comes back to check to mak...

Yes powerchains can be a pain in the mouth. I have been wearing them on the top 12 for the last four months. I have seen some noticeable movement but no sudden movements over hours. I usualy just take a OTC pain reliever and call it a day or night.
