Re: Second Braces Journey at 25
Dentist was fine, she reckoned it was a pit in the enamel that got stained, rather than a cavity. :jump: She also said that my gums are perfect, which just shows my diligent flossing has been working since I had gum disease in October. My ortho also said I was keeping my teeth nice and clean, so yey...

Oh, me too! I'd forgotten how bad the pain was. I'm only just now managing to eat solids. My premolars are still very sore, I think they're being pulled down.Msdanyale wrote:I got my first adjustment on the 18th....I am still miserable my teeth hurt so bad lol

Re: First week nausea?
If it's not the painkillers then maybe it's something other than dairy you've changed in your diet? I found my diet changed massively after braces, which did have some impact on my digestion. I didn't get any nausea, though.

Re: My 2nd round with BRACES...
LADIES AND GENTS, I HAVE A REMOVAL DATE! August 2, 2017 I will be getting these things off. I got my final wire on the bottom today. Next appointment, I should be getting my final wire on top. Then, I will have consecutive appointments until I get these removed. Has anyone told their orthodontist w...

They're on! http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/HeidiBug731/57327fb8-3d2b-4123-aa28-a05512d4da77.jpg Took an hour and half, and I'm pretty sure I fell asleep in the chair at some point. Nothing hurts yet, though I'm sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow. The issue I have currently is talki...

Re: Starting my braces journey
I felt like my teeth were a bit 'soft' when my teeth were shifting when I wasn't wearing my retainer. I don't remember any clicking though. Have you been to the dentist recently? Always worth asking them to rule out any problems. They usually like to take x-rays before braces anyway to make sure you...

Re: Second Braces Journey at 25
Had my first adjustment! Nothing much going on, he's moved me to a stronger wire to make sure the teeth are in a more stable place before we start doing anything fancy (like closing gaps). I chose pink bands this time. I was getting sick of the white. I've been using disclosing tablets once a week s...

Re: Can Invisalign fix an overjet?
I think it depends on the orthodontist. I was told that invisalign was out for me, because it wouldn't give me the backswing required to sort my (around 5mm) overjet. I wasn't wanting invisalign anyway, so wasn't all that cut up about it!

Re: Second Braces Journey at 25
Update a bit earlier than I intended: I was eating something at a food fair a week or two ago and there was something really hard in it (maybe a peppercorn?), and it hurt my lower left premolar (my lower arch isn't braced). I didn't think too much of it at the time, but I noticed about a week later ...

Re: 1st post!
Hey all!! I'm 27 and I've had braces for about a month now. I have the clear clarity Braces at the top and metal traditional braces at the bottom. It's been a long time coming...I was a thumb sucker up until age 13 so...you get the point lol Lol, I know what you mean. I had a dummy (pacifier) as a ...

Re: Expander! Extractions! Braces,hooray!
I've never had a bracket pop off (touch wood, lol) either this round with braces or last time. A lot of people with braces I watch on Youtube report brackets popping off all the time though. Sometimes it's because they're eating hard or crunchy food and other times it's because it wasn't bonded prop...
