Jumping in here to comment on the scan thing... the digital scanners are actually more accurate than the trays with the stuff. Sounds counter-intuitive, I know, but the physical impressions lose some clarity along the way. The mold doesn't quite capture all of the nooks and crannies of your teeth, ...

I had my scan today and newbite was right. It was a handheld scanner that takes scans of your mouth for retainers. I'll be getting upper and lower bonded retainers next week at my debrace. I have the option of removing the uppers after one year if I want to. And it sounds like I'm only getting an up...

Good luck, dear! I'm not wearing my elastics like my ortho told me. It's still 0.5mm off on my midline. Elastics to do help a lot though. Best of luck!
