I'm so excited for you! What type of braces are you getting? I've had traditional metal for the past 7 weeks.

Re: New here, Newly Braced and 1st post!
Alright... Im just made it past the 3 week mark of having these lovely braces on. The discomfort isnt as bad as it was in the beginning. I mostly get it now in certain areas that I believe my teeth are moving and def when I eat. Its a struggle, but this is the price we pay for a beautiful smile. I ...

YES! Mine feel a bit sort of... 'clicky'?LisaK wrote:If anyone is out there reading this. Do your teeth always have this wiggly feeling to them and will the nerves ever not be sore when you try and eat something thats a little more solid then just mush all the time?

Re: Day 2 of 32 with braces
:) I'll admit I have this fantasy of the timeline being an exaggeration to prepare me for the worst, but as everyone on this board has said would happen, nobody at work cares or mentions them, so it's not the public ordeal I worried about. Yeah, I just find that no one cares. Or, if they do care, i...

Re: 29 - Braces Journey (terrified)
Hi Steph, don't worry, this shouldn't go on for too much longer now you're at the 5 day point. I'd never heard of a bite plate before, are they for a different purpose than those bumpers/bite turbos or whatever they're called? Oh, go nuts with the wax as well. I currently have a huge cut on the insi...

Re: Second Braces Journey at 25
I thought I would do a last photo update before my adjustment on the 18th April. I'm still seeing movement even after 6 weeks- lately I've gotten a lot of new sores on my mouth due to the wire. One is being really stubborn and not healing properly yet. My overjet seems to have increased further, but...

Re: Second Braces Journey at 25
So, I caved and got a waterpik. I was having trouble getting floss or interdental brushes between the back molars, so I thought the waterpik would be a good idea to supplement regular flossing. Thoughts so far, very expensive but potentially worth it. It seems to dislodge some stuff that I can't get...

I also went for white! I might just get silver next time, though- I'm dying to eat curry and tomato based stuff. Yeah, eating was a nightmare at the start because my molars were too sensitive. It's great that you've not got too much pain! It seems to vary for everyone.

Re: Expander! Extractions! Braces,hooray!
Sounds like you maybe have damon? I have the traditional metal where the wire is held in place with coloured ligatures. My journey is going well! I'm seeing good movement- there are gaps opening and closing all over the shop and my teeth are aligning well enough. I can now eat almost normally. :thum...
