John, That makes perfect sense, I have had the best luck on my last day by being 100% compliant, and even making sure I wear the old trays for at least 3 hours before putting the new one in, and definately the hardest time was this last time where I had the old ones out for like 3hrs and then put th...

Tray #4 is in!!!

YAY!!!!! 4 went in tonight. VERY tight (especially on the upper), tighter then all the other ones so I definately think I was pushing my luck, and will probably be feeling real pretty tomorrow. And of course, in the back molar area on both bottom and top it's loose, but as I've read others saying, i...

Thanks for the info both of you, I think it makes more sense to put them back in after swigging some water around rather then risk problems. I will know in a few hours if having them out for 4 hours prevented me from moving to the next tray on my normal schedule. ;) The main problem for me was I was...

To pop them back in without brushing or leave them out longe

Ok, today was my first real situation where I couldn't go take 5 minutes away to the bathroom to brush, floss, and re-insert my aligners because I was behind the turntables, DJing, and I would have messed up the party if I had gone away for too long. So, I have to ask. Is it worse to leave them out ...

Exactly.. fine!

Yes, the tray fits great! Now I have a new problem though, I have 2 more days to go until changing to #4, and I cleaned my upper tray with a q-tip tonight because there was so much gunk. After cleaning, it doesn't fit tightly in the upper back left side over my last 2 teeth. They really aren't being...

I was under the impression no soaps, denture cleaners, mouthwash, etc were to be used... Honestly I just brush mine with toothpaste, and I dont seem to have a problem. I usually take them out and just quickly (within 30-45 minutes) drink my cup of coffee, and I limit myself to 2 of those a day... I ...

Bottom Tray 3 loose on right molar!

My treatment does not include any movement of the molars, however I'm concerned now that I just put tray 3 in that there is a bit of play on the tray going over the molar on that side. I can touch the tray with my finger and move it up and down..or bite down on it and it moves... The top molars and ...

Teeth grinding - sleep issues

Does invisalign make this better or worse for people that already had this problem before hand? It seems like it would help things because you are more aware and there is less clearance between your teeth, but maybe not, maybe it makes it worse. I'm really curious because I think I'm doing it at nig...

I've been drinking white wine with a straw. It sucks, the flavor and the taste are completely gone (it's true, your nose is what give the wine its fine flavors and complexity).. On the other hand, I do get more of a buzz drinking the wine from a straw. LOL! Anyway, I usually will drink a couple glas...

Anyway, one of them has already fallen off again, and when I saw my dentist last Monday he told me that "it's ok"... 3. Shouldn't I talk to the doctor? They said no, Invisalign (I guess they meant Align Tech) actually recommends just waiting until your next appointment regardless of the p...

I made it through the night!

Yay, my second trays were put in last night, and I slept like a baby! Unfortunately, I do notice since getting invisalign, i find it harder to get out of bed in the morning and I'm more groggy until I wake up. If I get in too much pain today, would you recommend switching back to the previous trays ...

I would think most dentists would go back to the Clincheck and say "this is what you approved, and this is what it looks like"... Yep, however, sometimes it just doesn't turn out exactly the way it was planned. ClinCheck is not a very acurate model and only shows a simplified visualizatio...

Well, I do seem to remember him saying "we're not really moving those teeth anyway, so it's not that important"... So who knows. My treatment is purely cosmetic in nature, we're not doing anything with the molars or the back teeth, so who knows. I got the new trays in! They are very tight,...
