Re: A Question about canker sore medicine in tubes.
I have one at the moment and I'm just using wax 24/7. Mine is due to an elastic on a rotated tooth, and as the wire sticks out a bit on one side of the bracket, the elastic is super taut and it is sheer pain, but the wax is an absolute life-saver.

Re: question about tooth movement...
I'm in the same boat really. I have a few teeth that need to rotate and I have a little crowding too. I'm having IPR to make space as needed, but at present I haven't had any IPR and I presume the wires on my teeth are doing something helpful! :P

Re: Ladies: Do you wear lipstick?
I wore red lipstick last night! Some people actually said to me that braces suited me. That was lovely to hear :) And I have the full-on metal look!

Re: Lose weight? Gain weight?
As thus far I have been sticking to soups and maybe some sausages cut up really small, the cut in carbs I'm hoping will have some positive affect! Although I worry that it will all be reversed when I can eat properly again.

Waterpik help?
I don't have any plugs in the bathroom and I've read some rather bad reviews about the portable model. Has anyone tried any of the Pan a sonic water flossers? From reading a number of these threads I have gathered water flossing is the way forward for brace-wearers!

Re: Introduction - I guess
I'm new too :) Had fixed metal braces put on my lower and upper yesterday. No molar bands though, and I'm hoping it stays that way because those things look painful!
