Re: Going Incognito
I do not have lingual braces, I have braces showing but I too had pain for more or less the whole first week and found it difficult to eat anything that wasn't soft for a long time! I STILL need to get a WaterPik myself... I think I'll take the plunge when I get my next student loan installment! Gla...

Re: Roses' braces
5 months tomorrow I would have had my braces on! The time has absolutely flown! I am still on my first wires as the bottom one still has a tiny bit more work to do. However, despite this progress, I have had such an ordeal from October with my crown. It started as a dull pain and then just grew into...

Re: Roses' braces
Crown bracket is staying off until next adjustment. I might need a band putting on! I really do not want that so I'm going to make sure I talk through the other options. I have been noticing a lot of movement recently despite the last adjustment being over a month ago. It seem my teeth are just waki...

Pain under crown on tooth treated with root canal?
2 years ago I got a pretty nasty infection in one of my molars that resulted in having to get root canal treatment. To strengthen this tooth my dentist recommended a crown. Now and then it may get a little sensitive to hot and cold, but since yesterday I've had a dull ache/pain in this tooth that I ...

Re: Molar buildups
Yes I'm feeling a lot better about them now! Although I still think they make me look strange in photos.... Next adjustment on the 30th so I'll see where these are going with my treatment then.

Re: Roses' braces
This morning the bracket on the crown came off again. Feeling very frustrated as I have been eating carefully and following instructions. Ortho isn't open on the weekend so I'm going to phone on Monday.

Re: Molar buildups
I've been in braces for 2 months now and I've had molar buildups since day 1. I promise you it gets better. I honestly don't even notice mine anymore. You will learn to eat, speak, and smile normally again (or as well as one can while wearing braces) They feel a little better today. I ca...

Re: Feels like tooth is gonna fall out of my head
I'm a month in and I don't eat on my front teeth. I had a similar situation last week and one of my top front teeth was really sore for around 3 days and then it went away after I had bitten into something instead of cutting it up. It seems there is a new pain somewhere every week!

Re: Roses' braces
Hi! I agree that this board is awesome for finding information and learning things about what we are doing to ourselves! Don't worry too much about mixing up terms, when you first get braces on there is a LOT of information and terminology thrown at you, and it's kind of confusing at first. Pretty ...

Re: cdnbracegirl's story: Finally getting braces at age 30
I have one of my wisdom teeth coming through at present and it hasn't been causing me any trouble. The ortho and dentist haven't said anything yet anyway. I think it's a lot less common in the UK to get wisdom teeth pulled. I know a lot of people on here go for the ceramic as they are less noticeabl...
