I think alot depends on where your attachments are - but most of the time no one can tell you have them because they match your tooth color so unless you're looking just right or unless someone is staring right into your mouth while wide open they're not going to be glaringly obvious. Both of mine a...

I would think that most fillings would change the shape of your teeth at least on top, causing aligners not to sit properly (we all know that a new filling is higher at first and wears down). So unless he was able to get your filling the same shape as they are now, chances are you'd need to get new ...

I believe you are told to floss after every meal - but I'm not sure everyone does it. I typically don't. I eat breakfast and sometimes lunch at work and it's hard enough to brush there, let alone floss. If I eat lunch at home I'll floss most of the time, especially if I have anything that tends to s...

Yep, I didn't have the excess thirst for the most part - if anything I have a bit of excess saliva still - but I do have the dry lips. I just make sure to use lots of lip balm/chapstick. I have one in my purse, one in the bath, one at work.. you get the idea LOL

From what I've read on here your cost includes at least some corrections/refinements. I'm not sure if that is set by the dentist/ortho or if it's Invisalign that sets that (and might be diff in diff countries/areas, etc). I've heard anywhere from 1 to 5 corrections/refinements on here. Mine did not ...

It looks to me like the pp said - that the attachment isn't lining up with the bubble causing it to make the aligner stick out from the tooth because it's pressing it outwards wherever the attachment is making contact. I don't know if I'd go 3 trays back either - just sounds painful for the teeth th...

I didn't see any gaps, but then again I could barely get it on! I had one tooth in the front (the 2nd one on the left in the fronts) that apparently didn't move correctly or as expected so I had to really force it on. When I got my new trays that tooth now has an attachment to help it move properly/...

So far the worst has been in the bathroom sink after my husband shaved (he never rinses out the sink).

I had to chuckle a little. I have a 2 1/2 year old boy and he's all boy - rough and tumble so when we get playing it never fails that I get a hand or foot or head to my mouth or cheek. Never hard or intentional but enough that I think if I had trays out my attachments would do the same if he got me ...

Yes, he said that there really isn't anything to do but get a new tray, and by the time it comes in i'll be switching trays anyhow. It's not between the teeth, it's smack in the middle of a tooth, but a small enough tear that it's not impacting how they fit, so just have to be careful taking it in a...

Tear/crack in tray?

I'm one week in on a tray and there is a small tear at the top of the aligner (front tooth). So far it's not causing any problems but I'm afraid of it tearing more as I take it out/in. It's on the tooth next to one with an attachment which makes it hard to get off sometimes. I'll call the dentist in...

It's never too late! I had traditional braces as a teen and they slowly moved back to fairly close to their original positions over the years. For quite some time now I've wanted to do something about them but didn't want braces again. After invisalign came out, I knew I wanted to do it. I just turn...

I feel a little bit of pressure after having them out the bulk of the day but by morning no pressure when I put them back in after brushing. The new trays are now in but due to the holiday this week I am scheduled to go in on Monday to get them. So perhaps over the weekend I'll wear my trays full ti...

I wondered the same thing about the attachments being on - I currently have my attachments off for a mid course correction and was thinking about doing it while they were off and they weren't so sensitive either (not sure but my dentist said that they tend to be more sensitive while moving and some ...

Waiting for a mid course correction....

It's been 3 weeks, and even though I know he said 4-5 weeks (and it took 10 or 11 for my original trays), I'm itching to get back to it. When my top tray 4 didn't fit on I (the bottom did but not well) called and they said to wear tray 3 for a few more days to see if that helped and we could just ad...
