Re: Is it kind if lame..

So when you are out, and I am sure every adult with braces has seen this happen. You are talking to someone and all of a sudden you see thier eyes/focus switch to your mouth. Are you offended that they are staring at your braces, or are you flattered that they are checking them out? Do you smile mor...

Top only as an option.

Has anyone with a choice, do top only braces? My two choices (to close a molar extraction). Top only $4100, or both $5800. Background besides the molar extraction. Have minimal crowding on bottom, midline off by about one mm. I do have a posterior open bite which was closed about 10 years ago but op...

Braces with your kids

As a new user I have to come up with 7 unique posts (aka not spamming) before I become a real person on here. So here is one. I'm mid 40 (aka oldfart) and will be getting braces at the same time as my kids (probably). Would it be best to let them watch me get mine first to ease thier tension, or wou...

Re: What to do after getting TADs? Aftercare?

Probably getting Palatal Tad for Molar extration closing. I am more worried about food hitting it while chewing. There is not a lot of info on those. I read a lot about those in the side of the jaw being pretty painless. But how about the roof of the mouth?

Re: Braces for Molar Extraction?

The first consult I liked and will probably go back. Said 24 months, $4100 if I wanted to do top only (including a TAD in the palate), or $5800 for both. Doing both would just be for minor cosmetic reasons so not sure what I'll do there. The second one doesnt use Tads and would require top and botto...

Braces for Molar Extraction?

In my 40s and have a molar extraction scheduled and trying to determine between an implant, braces and a bridge. Finances is a big part of the decision. I had braces 10 years ago and most everything is pretty decent still, so I would want focus primarily on closing the gap on the extraction. Is it p...
