Re: Getting an expander at 40+ years old

It's certainly an interesting treatment path that you've been down. Excellent work on getting this far! You have me both anticipating and dreading my near future, which will be a Hyrax style expander at the age of 38. More anticipating, to be honest. I'm excited to get more of the planned treatment ...

Re: Been a long time coming... (38/M)

Thanks! Yeah it's been ups and downs, as I'm sure most people here know. What's really 'no bueno' is the bottom back brackets hitting my upper teeth. Unfortunately all but one of the rubber spacers that were making roo...

Been a long time coming... (38/M)

Hello! I'm one of those folks who probably needed braces as a kid but came from a family that couldn't afford it. Man... It's taken me close to 40 to feel confident spending the time and money to fix things, but I'm finally doing it! I had numerous consultations, and here was the general consensus: ...

Re: Men with Braces

I imagine the generally strong societal emphasis on appearance for adult women has a lot to do with it too. I'm a middle school teacher and I see braces pretty much across the board in the 11-15 age range regardless of gender, but when it comes to "adult braces" I'd say probably around 4 o...
