I've noticed that it's pretty random which teeth are sore / where they're rubbing against your gums. I can be okay for about 2 weeks then all of a sudden there's one spot that is killing me. Your teeth and bite are constantly moving around, it's pretty normal

Not wearing your elastics can greatly increase the time you're in the braces - I would start wearing them again ASAP

I definitely recommend the waterpik BUT I would NOT use it as a replacement to flossing.

I would call your ortho and let them know about it. It might be super important to get it reattached completely- it's probably not doing much if it's not attached correctly.

I got my wisdom teeth out in august then my braces in sept. I would highly recommend getting them out before braces. I couldnt imagine dealing with both at the same time.

This is the reason I personally went with all metal. I don't regret it at all, either.

In my experience, the actual moving seems to one of the faster parts. But your teeth need time to stabilize/get used to their new positions.

I just miss biting into things, I can pretty much eat anything now - if I take the proper precautions and cut it up.

1 week update - Most of the soreness/pain is gone. When I wake up in the morning, I feel a lot more pressure on my teeth but it seems to go away within 30 mins or so. I've only been braced for a week but my profile / lips doesn't seem like it's changed at all.
