Welcome, hanzie. There is so much good information here, I'm really learning alot, and I'm sure you will, too. My first week was pretty traumatizing, also, but it will get better!

By all means, use the wax if you need it. It has beome a very good friend of mine. I use it on the backs of my top wires when they start to poke, and one lower molar band with a bracket is a killer w/o the wax.

Hi KatieGee, I never had any pain from spacers, either. They felt tight, but no real pain.

I'm learning that there will be good days and bad days. Today has been a bad day, everything is rubbing and hurting. My tongue has not been scraped up since the first week, but today...it's back. Grrrr! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. This arch thing is the pits.
