My plan is now to get Invisalign. I have a pretty complex case, and was told it would take at least 2.5 years. Anyone else plan to be in Invisalign for this long?

I was told 24 months, but I feel like it may end up being longer than that. Several other places I went said 24+ months or 2.5 years. I'm scared that I just can't handle having braces for that long (and I don't even have mine yet - schedule to get them put on next week).

For those of you who got braces after invisalign, did you have to pay for them again or was that part of your original contract?

Yes, they did offer Invisalign as an option. They weren't preferred providers or anything like that. I'm wondering if I should try consulting the ortho listed as a "top 1%" Invisalign provider in my area.

I'm going to get ceramic braces in a week or so and wanted to ask if anyone had experience with a white/clear arch wire versus the metal one. My ortho only offers the metal one, but to me the white one is less visible. Is it worth trying to find an ortho that uses this?
