Re: Retainers falling out during sleep?
I have an invisaline retainer for my top teeth and the first 2 weeks I wore it, it hurt like hell  and at night it would fall out and it would take 10 minutes to find it  . Since it hurts so much :soremouth: when I wear it, I dont wear it that often but sometimes I wear it because...

Re: Is there a reason we don't mention doctors names
I would not trust an office that has a track record of not responding prior to surgery. You will have to have several Post Op checks with your surgeon at his facility and be able to contact the doctor 24/7 in case of emergency. With a surgery this big, I would want to know that I am in good hands a...

Re: Found out I've been taken advantage of by a dentist
why do you not think so? And I haven't met with the dentist yet. Because of everything I've said before about him being able to do braces etc. Right but there has to be repercussions for him doing a sesame job and wanting to get my braces off when it was nowhere near ready and needs another 24 mont...

Re: DEVASTATED - Just Told I Require Full Revision of Bi-Max Surgery
Well here I am ... 2 weeks and 2 days post-revision. I wish I had good news to report ... but I don't. Long story short, my surgeon decided he could fix this problem by only moving my maxilla. I asked him several times if he felt that he could rectify things by only moving the maxilla and he assure...

Re: Should I have another surgery?
Youve been given the option of having surgery or having braces for a longer time. You have options, so your point that "it's a cultural thing to jump to surgery ect" is a bit generalised. Your ortho has given you his opinion for the best treatment method in his eyes. He's not getting a kic...

Oh look you still have the blue spots from when they put on the braces, the picture must be fresh
One month is nothing in braces world, espically with over crowding. Takes time.

Re: Weird numbness after debracing
Dentistry industry is pretty smart when it comes to making applicances that do what they are supported to. I doubt very much the cleaner did anything. If you had issues with hot/cold or pain, I think you would have something to worry about. However numbness isn't associated with tooth decay etc THIS...

Re: Midline is of and gaps between teeth
My teeth are a bit off after surgery as well, so I did some research. It is really common apparently to have to still shift things around post-surgery. Think about it, they fixed the bone issues, but the teeth may still need adjusting, especially after any widening procedures (lefort). I have space...

Re: Uncomfortable About a Registrar Being Involved in my Revision Surgery
Hello everyone, my apologies for my delayed response. In the midst of all of this, a family member became quite ill and this has been taking up much of my time. You may recall that, after ten months of trying to alert the young registrars in the public hospital clinic that my maxilla was reattached...

Re: Found out I've been taken advantage of by a dentist
Yeah that's not going to cut it for me lol. Good luck. In the short term your options are limited and you could be getting $ back because I honestly don't think you will get much back from the dentist. What has the dentist said? why do you not think so? And I haven't met with the dentist yet. Becau...
