Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!
Your pretty much at the same stage as me, mine is going to be planned out in the next month hopefully . They may not have to use a bone graft from my hip but can use a substitute.

Are you in a position that you could pay to have a revision in a different country ?

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!
When was your surgery and when are you planning a revision for ? Was it a double jaw surgery and genio ? If you can't find a surgeon I can recommend one who can downgraft the upper jaw as he does a lot of cleft work but it would be in London again.

Yes that's exactly the same as me , now show hardly any upper tooth and to much lower , it makes me look older than I am. When I smile it all scrunches up , so unattractive.

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!
I'm also in London and my surgery was private , my revision will be here or Brussels . I've been referred to by a consultant to his NHS practice and had 6 opinions all have said its been over impacted . It won't let me private message you as I would love to speak more as we sound like we have very s...

I'm in the uk. I'm really interested in who done your surgery I wonder if it was the same who messed mine up . I also need a graft but they will most likely use a bone substitute.

Re: DEVASTATED - Just Told I Require Full Revision of Bi-Max Surgery
I can understand the devastation as I'm going through the same thing , only mine hasn't shifted they took away to much bone from upper jaw which leaves me looking old. If you don't feel comfortable with the same surgeon can you ask to be referred to someone else? My surgeon won't take any responsibi...

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!
You sound very similar case to me in that the impaction has been overdone. Bad news is apparently it's the most unstable umovement of them all but it can be done and further advancement is possible as well. How did you pay? Credit cards can give some protection if it goes wrong under section 75. I w...

Re: Double jaw surgery, lip incampetence, overbite
Please be very careful about getting a big impaction, I have just had this and am now going to have to have my upper jaw bought back down using a graft. If they get it wrong it's very aging and leaves with a short mid face

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!
Not many people normally need revisions and I'm a very hard revision as well....typical me nothing's ever easy. I've got a referral to 2 NHS hospitals and in one I will be seen by a group of surgeons. The trouble here is that not all surgeons perform this privately or are capable of complex revision...

No problems with bite but apparently they can help in some cases, if not then it's legal action and private

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!
I also have some asymmetry, I now show to much of my bottom teeth and not enough upper. Quite honestly they have messed up my face. It needs a complete re do, I should have really had a 3D scan before not just working on the X-rays as its made existing asymmetry worse. If the NHS can't help I will m...
