Re: miniscrew implants/tads to fix a 4 mm gummy smile
I had TAD's in for my whole braced time and the link to my story is in my signature. If you do a search you will find a couple other stories also.

Re: Essix Retainers after Inman Aligner Treatment
I just got Essix last week and while they are clear and you cant really see them.....to me they are worse then braces. lol I'm not sure what your ortho will do but mine told me to wear them 24/7 unless Im eating or drinking because they stain. I am a sipper and a snacker so I feel like I have had to...

My story may not be the best to read about TAD's. I had several problems with one side.

Re: Temporary Anchorage Devices for Open Bite (Scotland/UK)
I had TAD's and my ortho was the only one in my city who uses them. I guess you could call around to each office and if they say no then ask do they know of anyone that does. I would also get more then one consult done, especially since surgery was mentioned.

Re: Sunshiney Saga
It now says it covers braces for ANY AGE! Grrrrrr! :-+ I checked before and it was only kids. I know this is super late, but I had the same thing happen to me. My insurance just started covering any age in January. I also feel cheated :? Congrats on your debracing though! Can't wait to see pics! My...

Re: My feet are getting cold
I just got debraced this week and I could not be happier. I was only in braces for 1 year but I really felt self consious the whole time. I kept reminding myself that I hated my teeth to begin with soooo the choice was....hate my teeth for the rest of my life or hate my teeth with braces for 1 year ...

Re: Braces off yesterday and Essix retainer
Well I dont know if the 2 month is just a checkpoint to make sure everything is going well. He was kind of vague on the plan. I know eventually I will only have to wear them at night (forever!) but its the in between that I'm not sure of the time-frame.
Thanks for making me feel less crazy!

Braces off yesterday and Essix retainer
I have to admit that braces were easier then the retainer. I have to wear it 24/7 for at least 2 months until my next appt. I dont mind the look, feel, taste.....so far. My main problem is eating and drinking. I am a sipper all day. I drink one soda a day, in the morning, and it lasts me 2-3 hrs. I ...
