Re: "What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been" - Robert Hunter, Grateful Dead

32 mo, which requires all of my fingers and all of my toes, plus all of your fingers and some of your toes to add it all up. Original estimate 22-24, though at about the one yr mark they hinted that it would probably wind up being longer. Not cool, but hopefully really close to wrapping up. Good lu...

Re: My date approaches

Popcorn, chewy cereal bars of any kind, toffee, caramels, fizzy drinks (I still drink these occasionally, naughty), brazil nuts, crisps (you can still eat these but they get stuck everywhere), apples, any sort of grainy salad.

Good luck on your journey!

Re: Braced at 42

I had a feeling today wasn't going to be de-bracing day. Got two new bends in my lower wire near my right and left incisors, and a small wire tweak near my upper left canine to rotate it just a fraction of a millimeter more because to me it looks more on edge than the other one. Appointment in 4 we...

Re: Second Braces Journey at 25

Argh, I've just noticed photo bucket going funny. Who knew you couldn't use it for 3rd party hosting anymore. I'll switch to another one for the future, but have a look on this page for the old ones: http://s199.photobucket.com/user/atrixa/profile/ I haven't noticed any movement with this last adjus...

Re: Second Braces Journey at 25

Single arch treatment? I wanted that and was told that dentist don;t do that. I almost feel conned. But your teeth look good, I can see all that awesome movement Thank you! Yeah, it seems to vary so much from practitioner to practitioner. My orthodontist's office seems to have no problem offering s...

Re: 28 year old fast braces

I've not had that personally (my teeth are more gappy than crowded), but don't they need to create a space somewhere else so there's a place for the tooth to go? I can't see any spaces right now.

Re: Not happy with braces - nearing end of treatment

Ok firstly, have you spoken to your orthodontist (or dentist, considering this is a Fastbraces treatment)? I can see why you're unhappy- your teeth do look quite uneven considering you're so close to the end. If you have any concerns at all, make sure you let them know before they threaten you with ...

Re: Second Braces Journey at 25

I thought I'd update after a few days of having this power chain configuration. The pain has been pretty bad- my ortho at my appointment actually said "We're not doing anything too mad" REALLY?! There are metal hooks in my face, for goodness sake! My bite has also been knocked wayyy out, w...

Re: My 2nd round with BRACES...

That looks different to others I've seen- there seems to be more types of fixed retainers that orthos  I bet that plus the braces is nightmare to clean around. Can't wait to see you're finished smile!

Re: 29 - Braces Journey (terrified)

Yeah, the gaps are awful but necessary (look at the state of mine atm!) it won't be forever though. We just keep having to tell ourselves that. Your teeth are looking great so far!, I have a good 1-2 mm gap on my top and bottom teeth in the same place, Im kind of self conscious about it.. Im trying...
