yeah Diehard that does stink that you have to pay for refinments after all the money you spend to get the initial trays. :? Does it really cost the ortho that much more?? somehow I doubt it. If I remember correctly I get 1 refinement at no cost but then I think I too may have to pay after that. Hope...

Hi invisagirl, Thanks for the reply. Nice to know Im not alone  . I have not had a refinement yet but my ortho and I had discussed it and my guess is most likely it will be happening soon. A couple tray back we talked about it but then the next tray fit like a glove so at this point hes keeping...

I have to go for cleaning 4 times a year while I have Invisalign, after Im done I'll go back to the normal 2 times a year. My dentist/ortho makes all his Invisalign patients go for the extra cleaning, my guess is that we're more are risk for cavities and plaque build-up since our teeth our encased i...

Hi jcdamon3, Congrats on getting your braces off, it must be very exciting for you! :D I myself have also noticed my teeth looking more transluscent/grey in places and after a brief moment of panic  I've decided they must have always been that way and I'm just noticing it more now because I'm...

I have definitely noticed that my upper arch has widened as a result of the Invisalign. I was skeptical about what these plastic aligners could do as well but now I have the gaps (and today the pain!) to prove that they are in fact strong enough to move teeth. I haven't experiences a metal expander ...

Not the Blue Gunk Again!!!

I had an appointment yesterday. The last time I went I had to step back a few trays because things weren't fitting as nicely as they should be, there are 4 teeth in a row that have space between them and the aligners, every other one fits like a glove. Yesterday he had me pop in #30 and said "W...

How many aligners do you have?

I'm in one of those moods today where Im thinking "when is this ever going to end!!" :? From the slow progress lately it seems like I'll be stuck away in some nursing home before this is finished! (I was hoping to be done by the time I turn 30 in March ) I'm on 29 on 55 - Quite the ways to...

My ortho gave me print outs of the "before and after" of the clin-check. Its a side shot so I can't tell what my smile will look like head on but its something at least. Tulip - Maybe your ortho can at least do the same and give you print outs, obviously you dont get to see things moving a...
