Thanks for posting such detail! One ortho proposed carrière and invisalign but I couldn't find much info online. The though of my canines getting long and loose freaked me out so much that I decided to go full metal braces route instead.

OMG this is my greatest fear! I'm getting braces on to prevent further gum recession from my bad bite, but I'm terrified of getting black triangles, especially on my upper front teeth!

I've since seen 2 other orthos who say a year in regular braces is all I need, thank goodness! I think the first guy was too aggressive and wanted "perfect" and I will plan to just do braces and get to "better" in my bite.

How was the carrière? Was it painful or just about the same discomfort as braces/Invisalign? Was it visible?
