Can't make a decsion.

I can't make a decision as to whether to just have the lower jaw done, or both. My mind is flip flopping every 10 minutes. I think insurance will cover both. Your first consern should be finding the best surgeon you can. Basically, if the guys name isn't really well known in that area, don't consider it. Your next question should be whether or not they plan to use screws, if they don't, walk out, find a better surgeon. Using screws is the new way and sav...

i'd assume they'd only make the incisions as big as they needed to be to remove the screws that were bothering you, I doubt they'll even remove all of them.

well the issue really is that there are two professionals involved here, with differing opinions. I still haven't heard anything yet, so when Wednesday / thurs rolls around I'll be calling again, probably to reschedule the surgery because if he doesn't have time to talk to me, I don't feel comfortab...

Re: Choice between jaw surgery or having teeth extracted

- I can just wear the braces to bring down the adult canine teeth into their proper place and straighten my teeth but deal with the overbite. He has informed me that once my teeth are straight the overbite will be much more noticeable You don't know how bad the over bite will be until the teeth are...

I don't know... I'm presuming he hasn't called me yet because the results haven't come back from the lab. We'll have to wait to see what all is wrong.... I'm sure the facebow will let us know the truth..

not sure. I'm going to wait until i hear from the lead surgeon. As far as cant, etc... If I force my teeth to line up, the teeth refuse to meet on the right hand side, the upper jaw doesn't seem to be off. I would only consider doing the upper jaw if its A) necessary or B) would provide very signifi...
