Well the verdict is in. I had a long discussion with my surgeon. He basically called initially called into question my goals and how I felt. I told him that I was confused and nervous and mentioned last spring and reminded him of how he told me we might need to do a lefort. He said that looking at m...

Can't make a decsion.
I can't make a decision as to whether to just have the lower jaw done, or both. My mind is flip flopping every 10 minutes. I think insurance will cover both. I've been told the upper jaw would be for cosmetic reasons only. I'm worried that if I don't have it done, I'll regret not doing it. If I have...

well the issue really is that there are two professionals involved here, with differing opinions. I still haven't heard anything yet, so when Wednesday / thurs rolls around I'll be calling again, probably to reschedule the surgery because if he doesn't have time to talk to me, I don't feel comfortab...

Re: Choice between jaw surgery or having teeth extracted
- I can just wear the braces to bring down the adult canine teeth into their proper place and straighten my teeth but deal with the overbite. He has informed me that once my teeth are straight the overbite will be much more noticeable You don't know how bad the over bite will be until the teeth are...

If I force my teeth to line up, the teeth refuse to meet on the right hand side, the upper jaw doesn't seem to be off. I would only consider doing the upper jaw if its A) necessary or B) would provide very signifi...
