Ok so my nausea was caused by a change in meds.... I do soak my retainer in new cleaner every time I take the Essix out of my mouth. Occasionally, I think my mind is just telling me that the Essix is making me gaggy....

Tell your ortho every little thing that is bugging you!! They can do sooooo many things that you are not aware can be done. If they are not going to use the lingual cleats, they may very well grind them down. Mine did. What a relief!! Also, you really need to let the ortho know about the sharp molar...

I've had the Essix which I got within a 1/2 hr or so of debanding. I can talk or whatever with no problems at all when I wear the retainer.
