Had all fpur of my wisdoms out this year, 3 under general aneasethic and 1 with a local. It all went fine for me and im nearly 29.

It isnt the nicest feeling in the world, but for me the one where i was awake was over in seconds and didnt hurt at all.

Congratulations on joining the other side :D glad to hear you feel it hasnt been to bad.

I had some pretty nasty bruises and cuts on my lips, again im guessing from whatever they use to keep your mouth open.

Thought id share mine, when i woke up my intial thought was that i was dead-not sure why, but i wasnt scared more put out by it! lol :lol: Then i realised someone was telling me to open my eyes, which i thought was weird as i was sure i had them open-which i didnt! Hey :D I had a BSSO lower jaw advancement of 13mm in february 2008. Your find my blog at the bottom of the page, tho some of it sounds aweful (i had recovery more on the worse end of the scale with a few complications) your see i thought it was all worth it in the end. Good luck with your decision.

Hey :D It is a dificult decison to make, but im glad i had my bsso done in feb. Intially i was told id need upper and lower but it turned into just lower. I did have a pretty difficult recovery, but id still go through it all again if i had too. My blogs at the bottom of this post, tho it sounds bad...

I had a BSSO in Feb 2008, they thought i was at risk of relapse, due to my muscles fighting back and a combination of grinding, clenching etc. But this was (fingers crossed) avoided by several weeks of tight bands to retrain the jaw muscles. I was advanced by 13mm, so i wouldnt say that 6mm is too m...
