Re: anyone used an acceledent?
Yeah like I said I'm not as much convinced by the device as I am that for some reason the ortho seemed willing to do wire changes/adjustments almost twice as often if I ordered it- so hopefully one way or another it gets me out of braces sooner! However I feel like an idiot paying $1000 for a hunk o...

Re: Finally have braces - August 2016
That's the type my ortho uses for ceramic! They looked nice. I decided to go with linguals due to long treatment time and wedding next year, but I don't think I would have minded those. Good luck! Sounds like you are on your way to beautiful teeth!

Re: A year in, finally fully braced and ready to tackle the impacted canine
Yours must be in a pretty good position if you don't need the exposure procedure to bring it down! From my experience, once there is enough tooth for a bracket to go on, it will come down so fast! It's getting to that point that is the slow journey! That's what happened to my upper the first time ar...

Re: anyone used an acceledent?
$1400 is the highest I have heard. Mine is $1000 and that included a warranty for my full treatment (24+ months). I thought that seemed too high considering I know others who have gotten it for 300-500. If your treatment is only a year, I would agree it's probably not worth it. I wonder if the advan...

Re: How long did YOUR impacted canine take to come into place?
When I had braces when I was 15-16, my upper left canine (which was in my gum line and barely exposed, but I didn't have to have the exposure surgery), it had a button attached to it and came down low enough for a bracket within 2 weeks! Once the bracket was on, it was pulled down all the way within ...

Harmony upper/lower this fall! Anyone have any experience with itero scanner?
I have decided to get upper/lower harmony lingual brackets placed to fix my mild crowding and some impacted canine issues. I have already had my consult and the itero scan and was wondering if anyone else has had one with their ortho. My ortho advised the scan would take about 20 mins start to finis...

Re: what's the cost of your braces?
Pretty heavy, but $12,500 (insurance only picking up $1,500, so 11k for upper and lower lingual in northern Virginia. I am also having an extraction/exposure procedure that my insurance will cover all but $500 of, and using acceledent (+1k)

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Checking in! I have a somewhat interesting case with a long story. So here it goes! I am one of those lucky people who had not 1, not 2, but FOUR impacted canines. Unfortunately no dentist raised the alarm soon enough when I was younger, so i didn't get braces for the first time to try and fix the p...
