Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

:( I think it's time to wave the white flag and concede to this tooth. It's been reactivated for less that four days and all my front teeth are completely shifted over and the tooth right next to where the canine should be is very loose. My canine is just not going to move. I think I give up. :-+ :-...

I've been curious of this device. My ortho doesn't sell it though :(

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

Wow that's a fair amount of time, was there anything attached to your tooth at the original exposure? I know with mine in the same surgery to expose the tooth it was bracketed and a chain attached to the palatal arch at the roof of my mouth and since then it's been pulled down and now being pulled ...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

Hi millersgirl, when mine was originally exposed the gum was cut and a bracket placed on the tooth, and as far as I know just left open, but at the start you couldn't even see the tooth just the glue and the chain pretty much under the gum. When was your exposure done? It still surprises me that th...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

It's certainly been a few months since I've been on here and it feels even longer since I had my exposure surgery back in June last year. It's been months of pulling and pulling but now finally my tooth has been attached with a new bracket and attached to the arch wire! Woohoo progress! I've attemp...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

I have to say I am surprised I am in basically no pain. Don't know why it hurt so much more last time. Everything is all swollen like crazy right now but no pain. Adjustments never really hurt...only maybe like twice in the last year. Keep praying my tooth moves...my ortho is only giving me 4 months...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

Oh is that your canine just popping through at the top there? Mine seems to be pulled down differently to most people's. It hasn't been "exposed" just the front gum lifted and stitched then the chain coming out of the gum. X my first time it was done like this...unfortunately though, my c...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

So I got the referral for oral surgery to expose and attach another chain. I'm dreading this. I just really don't want to go through this again. And my ortho has been pulling on the tooth for over a year and it's barely moved. I DO NOT want an implant. I"m honestly just thinking of having the i...

Re: Just curious about everyone's treatment cost

My treatment for ceramic uppers traditional metal lowers for 30 months was around $8,000 and I live in California. That's not including the oral surgeries. I'm PRAYING my impacted canine comes down so I don't have to pay another $8000 for an implant. :|

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

Millersgirl, when my Ortho first tried to activate my canine, the bonding broke. Is the chain slack? If not, maybe you super-activated your tooth. My front teeth were very sore when the canine was moving. Hopefully, that's the case. Fingers crossed. So when it broke did you have to go through the e...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

The chain is still taught so I don't know what's going on. I'm afraid to pull on it but when I do it feels like it's still stuck. If it did break I think there's only one more link and then it's the button attached to the tooth. My mouth is a mess right now. My teeth are really all shifting to the r...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

I think my chain broke today but I'm not sure. I was kind of fiddling with the chain and I heard cracking noise. I tugged on the chain a bit to see if it would come out and it really didn't...fast forward 6 hours and now my front two teeth are quite sore. I don't know what I did  I have an ort...
