I was 51 when I started invisalign.
It is all worth it.

Re: Will elastics work for an adult with overbite?
I am 52 and they absolutely work! If you wear them as per your ortho's instruction, they should work pretty good. My ortho told me that she actually didn't think it would work as well on me. I am very compliant and wear my invisalign 22+ hours a day and elastics as directed. I am in the refinement s...

Re: On 2nd refinement set
Wow! 5 years? I am currently in my refinement stage (22 aligners) after 60 aligners (initial). I am hoping that after the 22 I will be done, but I guess there could be more? My teeth are straight now and it's minor things.\ My ortho also said that at the end, there will likely be some "shaping&...

Re: waiting for refinements and wearing aligner at night only
thx for your reply.
I don't believe they are retainers, as they are just the next few aligners.
I am sure it's fine, but after one year with invisalign, I definitely don't want to move backwards! thx

waiting for refinements and wearing aligner at night only
I am now at the refinement stage, finally! My ortho told me that the new aligners will take about 6 weeks to arrive and she gave me 3 sets of aligners and said that I need to only wear at night (12 -15 hours). She gave me 3 sets as wearing the same aligner for 6 weeks would not be ideal. Today is th...

Re: Concerns about orthodontist and staff
You are paying big bucks for a service so indeed they should answer all concerns and questions.
Yes, I would politely say that you have some concerns.
Sorry to hear this.
My ortho and staff are the best.
I also email my ortho when I have concerns, so this may be an option for you as well.

invisalign refinements
Hi I have an appt with the ortho for the refinement stage in a few weeks which will involve another scan of the teeth. I had 63 aligners, but bc I am very compliant and using accelerant daily and changing my aligners daily and wearing aligners 22 hours+ per day, I have been progressing well and orth...

Re: Anyone else bracefree this summer?
i hope before then but I don't know!
I am going for refinement with invisalign on March 22 so I am hoping that it's only a few more aligners i need.
Yikes.
My teeth are really fairly straight now so I am going to assume it will be short.

Re: How painful can invisalign get?
Really no pain.
I am on aligner 50 so I think I am an authority now.
Only slight pressure, but pain, no.
Easier than I thought.

Re: Finally fixing my teeth.
Your teeth look great! Congratulations on getting to this point! I am approaching the refinement stage and curious how long the refinement stage will be. I initially had 63 aligners, top and bottom, but now ortho said that I will can finish at 54 and then refinement. I am currently on aligner 50. I ...

Re: Ortho treatment at same time as child
Yup. Me and my 14 and 15 year olds are all in treatment together. To be quite honest, at first I was so embarrassed but now proud! My daughter and I are in invisalign and close to completion and my son is in braces to fix a bite. He has bottom braces and getting top soon. He had a carrier on the top...

two buttons on the inside of my mouth
I just had an ortho appointment and totally on track! I am on tray 45 of 63 (yes, poor me - that's a lot) and she gave me 8 more aligners (for me, that's only 40 days since I change every 5 days) and told me that I may not need the rest and that we can move right into the refinement stage. I am very...

Re: Poll: Did You Have An Allergic Reaction to Invisalign?
Don't give up.
Talk to your orthodontist and she/he should be able to figure something out for you.
The first few weeks are tough because you are getting used to a foreign object in your mouth.
