Feeling that new wire after my first adjustment on 9/23. Celebrating the movement I can feel, or rather the changes I can feel. Mr. Tongue is ever on patrol and finds the tiniest changes going on in there! Isn't it amazing? Next adjustment is not until December 2nd so there should be plenty of time ...

Great progress! Like the others, I am waiting too. I could put a pencil in between my uppers and lowers without opening my mouth so I'm excited at the prospect of such improvement.

I think my son had what you describe and his were called tongue spurs, as I recall. He had a tongue thrust and this was to retrain (a/k/a punish) his tongue so it wouldn't continually thrust against his front teeth... I think. My routine has been to Waterpik first to remove any food particles, then brush, then floss and then I rinse with salt water. Sorry you're having so much discomfort. I agree with wax, wax, wax. I try to just deal with it some days so I can speak clearly at work, but at night when I get home, I wax up and it's just a nice "ah" of relief and gives the gums and cheeks a break. Also, rinse with salt water frequently....

Anyone have days when you just wish you could spit out all the hardware when you swish?!
I am waxed to the max and have no complaints. I'm almost a month into this journey already!
