Re: Second guessing myself now!
If you're like me, you will regret a decision if you did not fully consider it even if it was the right decision. It is not necessarily that all that time contemplating a decision yields a better result, but if it doesn't turn out you don't blame yourself for not taking your time to consider all th...

Making it unanimous, 4 days is probably too long let alone 4 weeks, unless there is something particularly insignificant about this bracket.

My overbite and overjet plus crowding and misaligned bite are in for about 16 months, no extractions.

Re: 7 months & seeing no difference,I think my overbite is w
It's hard to tell but I think I see quite a difference, especially if you look at the lips rather than just the teeth. I noticed the same difference in my own smile. Before and at the beginning of treatment my smile looked different, not the right shape, and now it has a more pleasant, curved shape ...

Don't worry, they will take xrays and have a good look at how things are lining up and you will be good to go.

Re: Twisted front teeth - Advice needed
Well, my teeth were not this crowded, I have some bite issues that didn't seem to raise a lot of red flags with me or my previous dentists, and still I am going to be in braces about a year and a half using some of the most modern treatment available, and the cost is in the upper single-digit thousa...

Re: Second guessing myself now!
You should definitely consider full-term treatment if you have bite issues. I don't know anything about SMS but it doesn't sound like it would address major issues. I'm your same age and have metal traditional braces, 5 months in, maybe 10 or so to go, so a third done already--addressing crowding, o...

Re: Dr Ellie program?
Given that tea is the national drink of some areas with well-known proclivity to dental problems, I don't think that last bit helps your argument much.

Re: Lose weight? Gain weight?
papa joe, did you have build ups on your teeth, or no? great that you got back to exercising and clean eating though! I'm already afraid of too much ice cream, just because it's so easy! Not sure what you mean by build ups, i do get food stuck in there. But nothing a quick rinse or brush doesn't fi...

Re: Photos and Braces, Hide them or Flaunt them?
I tend to smile more with braces, but I look awful in photos. Since I have Damons, I'm all metal, so in photos it looks like I have dark or rotten teeth. Not flattering at all! So now I either smile with my lips shut or run when I see a camera. Hopefully it won't be much longer and then I'll make u...

I agree...I look like a vampire or a dog if i just barely smile with just a few glints of the braces showing.Kezza wrote:I just have to smile big...If I try to hide them I just end up looking weird!

Re: Lose weight? Gain weight?
As thus far I have been sticking to soups and maybe some sausages cut up really small, the cut in carbs I'm hoping will have some positive affect! Although I worry that it will all be reversed when I can eat properly again. Same here, I'm starting to eat more now and it is definitely a worry. I gue...
