Pop goes the bracket, then...

I woke up during the night last night and thought my tooth (the really bad problem one) felt really loose and sore. Then this morning when I was brushing my teeth I realized the bracket had popped off during the night. Looks like the glue just came loose because it's still on the back of the bracket...

Turbos are a pain, but you'll find a way to adjust and you'll forget about them. I've had them my entire treatment time.

The ortho decided not to do it today. He wants the tooth to get all the way in position so he doesn't have to laser twice. My next adjustment isn't until December 22, so I guess it'll happen then. I was going to take a pic and post it to show how far this tooth has moved, but dang it, my camera batt...

I've searched online and found it's called Gum Contouring. I've read details but have found nothing that addresses recovery time. Can anyone out there help? :?:

Excess gum tissue

I have a tooth that has had to move forward quite a bit. In doing so it's brought a lot of gum tissue forward with it. Ortho said next adjustment (which is Monday) he'll laser off the excess.

Anyone had this done before? Is it painful? :?

I was told 18-22 months. Fortunately my ortho is thrilled with how well my rotated tooth has turned around. Now we're moving it to the empty space where it should be...which was 2 teeth lengths away and now it's almost there! I'm good with whenever he tells me they can come off. I've waited a long t...

People can be rude without intending to be. Braces are probably something they have never thought much about. My husband has been very supportive and my sister had braces in her early 20's, so she's been great too. I've only had one nasty comment. It was from a man while we were sitting in the bleac...

I think it's something that's addressesed before your treatment ends. You never see anyone who has had braces that have uneven teeth. So I'm thinking it's part of the master plan too. I'm certain that I'll have some elastic configuration to pull some of my teeth down (or up on the bottom). I h...

Morning and night for sure and usually lunch, and maybe one other time during the day. It bothers me to have stuff stuck in my teeth so I'd rather just brush and get it out.

Your teeth look fabulous!

I do understand wanting a little recontour and I'm glad to hear that most orthos will do it. I will need to have it done, as well, along with slight gum recontour.
