Re: Question about ppl getting front teeth extracted...
Broader smiles are beautier then smaller smiles. Some ppl have so small jaws that it looks really handycaped already. Those orthos should be sued, sorry but just my 2 cents about extractions... Broad smiles do look very nice, but unfortunately not all people have the genetics that provide for broad...

The aligner should fit all the way up on your teeth. There should be no space between your teeth and the aligner, especially this early in your treatment. You will be able to see the aligner at the bottom of your tooth, it has some thickness to it that you will be able to see when you look closely. ...

It's hard to say what's going on and whether it is normal without a picture or two. It is normal to have a space develop in between your front teeth during expansion, and for there to be some tipping of your back teeth during the expansion. It was unclear to me whether you had braces on your other t...

The plan can be changed, that is why it is important to have the set of impressions and radioraphs taken right before surgery. They are to make the final plan before going into the surgery. I'm not so sure what the "midline split" is that requires an incision under your chin. You may want to have th...

I would tell you that as a broad generalization, regular braces will give you a better result than invisalign will. I know that it seems that braces will be a real hassle, but if your orthodontist thinks they will give you a better result, it would probably be worth it to go ahead with the braces. I...

Sorry to hear you're having such a bad experience. :( To address some of your concerns: 1. the bands can irritate your tongue, and it can be very annoying. You should ask the office if there is anything that can be done to make it more comfortable, and hopefully they can see you before your next app...

If you are in braces now, you should probably see your orthodontist. If you aren't seen regularly by your orthodontist you may want to go in and see your dentist. Sometimes permanent teeth that have not erupted normally will erupt later for no apparent reason, but you should see either your dentist ...

Sorry to hear about your problem, I hope that it can be corrected easily. Did you speak to your orthodontist about your concerns? Sometimes depending on the shape of your teeth and gums there is not much that can be done orthodontically to correct a problem of getting food stuck between them. Are yo...

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Everyone is different in terms of how much pain they feel, even in doing a similar type of movement. Just consider yourself one of the lucky ones! It often takes awhile to 'see' much change with invisalign, unlike with braces - don't be discouraged. Resist the urg...
