these are great points posted above, and actually i think many of them were used for making my case medically necessary, in addition, shear discrepency in jaws can make it medically necessary. for instance, some insurance companies indicate a 2mm vertical excess, mine was 5mm; more than 2mm open bit...

does it make a difference if the person had lower too? i had a lefort just to fix a gummy smile, it was not moved foward or back, just up, 5mm to get rid of a vertical excess. i think it is a good indication of results for anyone with just a gummy smile issue, even though i also had lower and genio....

congrats happy! i am hoping for a christmas present, but if it doesnt happen ill live. they dont START moving my teeth again until next week. so literally 2 months time wasted, but the surgeon didnt want the teeth touched...

they are already in there...do both! seriously im only saying this because your mouth reminds me of mine, but mine was worse and i had no chin. and i love every second of what was done. it is an amazing difference. you dont want to wonder later if you could have only done it or what it would be like...

congrats happy! this must be super exciting. even though i dont mind wearing braces after all of this, i cannot wait for them to come off so i can see my new teeth and smile completely! (though, i have about 6 months because i have spacing issues) i cant wait to see the naked teeth pix!!
