untrue
this statement is not only untrue, but misleading and discouraging to those people trying to get surgery. i had TWO jaw surgeries, July 07 and July 08...my total cost for BOTH surgeries...$550...copays. The first surgery was amblatory, so it was just a $50 copay, the second I stayed in the hospital ...

chin
i had a small chin too...they not only did the genioplasty, but they also used the vertical excess they cut off from my lefort AND donor bone (cow's bone) to build behind my genioplasty to make my chin the proper size...now it fits beautifully. see what they are going to do, as sometimes a bone graf...

vain
isnt it kind of vain to get braces just to put in a tooth that you are missing? i had a missing tooth that never grew in before surgery, im not getting an implant...but this is coming from someone who said that everyone has their own unique features, which we are supposedly ruining by having jaw sur...

CAN A MODERATOR DO SOMETHING!?!!?!
I am personally done with hearing redstar on this site. the lastest, "Low self esteam. Common problem for US and Canada, why? Not sure..." [/b] Redstar, emotions are a NORMAL part of life. I feel as though you believe nobody should FEEL anything towards this whole process...were you raised at gunpo...

your choice
redstar- i have just read the posts accompanying this thread. mind you, in a very neither sided way. from an outsiders point of view on the conversation, your tone sounded like you were better than anyone else who had ultimately chosen to go ahead with surgery. that those who have had it must not be...

tina---- your pic does look good! your swelling will be mostly gone at about6 weeks, but the residual swelling takes months to go away, so you will see changes for about a year. i JUST got rid of thelast of my swelling this june from my sarpe, then had my BIG surgery in july. give it time....regardi...
