surgeon

My surgeon was on LI (Plainview), but I had my surgery at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens. They have a oral maxillary facial clinic and they are really great there! He did a SARPE (2007) and Lefort/BSSO/Genio (2008) on me and it was excellent. You can search my username for a slideshow of pix. Anyways, ...

x rays

I dont think that you should worry only because between 2 surgeries, braces for 2+ years, etc. I have had at least 15 xrays of my face...seriously, and that is probably the lowest I would guess. It could be more...that being said...I probably going to glow before you. Though, I think it was worth it.

chin

i was told that my chin was going to be recessed even after a sliding genioplasty. the doctors said that they could only move it so far before it literally feel off my face. i voiced my concern for this and woke up with a perfect chin. I didnt know how it could be since they said it would be left a ...

dont worry too much about the drooling. i definitely also carried around a soft terry washcloth to catch the dribble, as it would come unexpectedly. in fact, its been a year and every so often a little something slips. i think it has to do with not having full feeling in my lower lip like some has n...

glue ewww

hey, i had the same problem last year...use rubbing alcohol. it helped a lot. you'll have to do it several times, as the rubbing to get it off starts to get irritating and your arm might get tired. good luck with it!
