Hey, your upper teeth look a lot like mine! Mine turned in like that as well. That part moves rather quickly (I have a stubborn canine tooth that did not). Welcome to invisalign - today I tried to eat chocolate cake with the trays in and realized after a meeting that I had cake in my tray :-/ (I don...

This happened to me too - we went ahead and took impressions for the refinement and started that today before the bottom trays were finished. I am lucky so far in that the new upper trays were the same amount of trays as the lower ones - but I saw my clinchek and I feel like the last image didn't sh...

yikes! Glue all over teeth from new attachments

 I got my new upper trays today...ok, I can deal with the fact that I now have SIX attachments on my upper teeth right in front! But, the dental asst put glue all over the entire tooth, which is still there. Um, that doesn't seem right to me. I essentially have teeth covered in krazy glue and...

Originally 18 U, 27 L Now ??? U, 27L Upper trays just stopped working...I suspect because my ortho did extra IPR (!) and they no longer fit. (I know he did extra IPR). Then I chipped a tooth on some bread. then the sharp edge cut through the tray a little, which caused it to crack (tray 18 -). Which...

I am thrilled with the results on my bottom teeth so far - waiting for new trays for the top ones, which should have been finished long ago. So I'm glad I did this because I have a wide smile and now I won't be highlighting my crooked teeth, just straight ones! I just switched trays on the bottom an...

Mine started out at $6500 US. Then I moved to another state and switched orthos, and the second one was cheaper, so it worked out to around $5800. I'm still paying a ton per month, because I financed part of the first ortho through Capital One, and am paying the second ortho each month. I'll be very...

YAY new impressions taken

Who would think I'd be happy about MORE TRAYS My lower invisalign (tonight switching to 20 of 27) is going great. My upper has been a nightmare, I don't know what happened, they just stopped moving... after going back several sets of aligners today my ortho said we're taking new impressions and gett...

Yup, it does - I was thinking that might be the case. Yikes, looks like I'll have invisalign for a minimum of 2 years...at this point I feel like they are part of my teeth!!

Refinement on top before bottom is finished?

Has anyone had this, or do you know if refinement must wait until both bottom and top are done? I have 18 trays on the top, 27 on the bottom. I'm on tray 18 and one tooth won't move (eye tooth - canine?) so definitely need refinement there. Not at all happy with the results on the top though they ar...

I'd be hesitant to do that - I've been finding that my teeth move during the second week as well. It seems like as movement takes place during the first week, that allows the movement to continue. Of course, my top aligners aren't working anymore due to stubborn eye tooth, but I find this with the b...

I just brush them before I put them in every time. I think the key is to never let them dry! I rinse them when I take them out (if possible). Then brush them before I put them in - if you aren't using tartar control toothpaste this won't work. I use crest multicare. Recently I accidentally bought th...

I've got the same problem...I'm now on my last aligner of the top aligners and my eye tooth just won't budge. Ortho has sent me back several aligners twice and I'm not due to see him again until February. If he does it again I have to think seriously about switching doctors, but I'm not sure how tha...

I take it back

(I don't want to scare anyone off invisalign w/my posts of dread) Saw the ortho today, he thinks treatment is going well now. Relief! I still feel like he didn't take my concern seriously but as long as the things are working I don't care. BTW I use those aligner chewies at least 1/2 hour after each...

Also, to make matters worse, I chipped my front tooth on a piece of bread yesterday! I used to have superstrong enamel. But ortho has me using hte aligner chewies constantly...I wonder if I've weakened my teeth.

Now I have $6000 still crooked teeth with a chip in them. Yay.
