rasberry: :-* I really must change that pic. Although my mouth and teeth pretty much look like the pic they are not mine. I am going to try to figure out how to put the pic of my viola back up. I had to smile because people are always saying I look really young (not in my teens) but early to mid 20'...

Memran: I had the same feelings as you did. I was terrified and would have initially forgotten about braces if I had had to do it before being braced. I am not going to lie and say I "breezed" through everything. But, I will say I "worked" myself up based on too many "what if's" that did not happen....

I don't know :Questions: I had just turned 36 when I was braced. The ortho I chose didn't mention surgery at all. I had a consult with one ortho who suggested the surgery you had. She didn't mention removing any teeth. The 3rd ortho consult thought it would not be necessary to do surgery, if I had m...

meryaten: Thanks for the info. I should have been more clear about the 1mm. I meant I may be about 1 mm over the norm (approximately 3 mm). I was happy with that scenario. :-#)

I am very thankful that I had not had any previous exractions to further complicate my case.

Dawna: I hope things get better for you really soon! Make sure you talk to your Ortho ASAP!! If you have to page them or use their emergency number. I personally would not use the removable retainers until I saw the Ortho. Allergic reactions are nothing to play with. If you start to have problems br...

Meryaten: Thanks for the reply. I don't think I had any over jet problems. It was also helpful that my teeth were already straight (I guess).

rasberry: Thanks for the reply. I am just curious as why some people (me) can have larger overbites and have them corrected without surgery. I did have to have 2 pre-molars removed :-(( . Yes, I was a big baby about it. I have never had a tooth pulled. Granted I may have a 1mm overbite when it is al...

rasberry: Good for you :jump:

I am curious why did you have to go the surgery route in order to fix your overbite? Does it make it quicker or did you have other reasons?? Also was that the only way to completely fix your overbite?

I agree with everyone!! I think their should be a segment on these "makeover" shows that talks about what happens after you get the "quick fix". I bet that would make some people think twice about doing stuff for the camera. Maybe they should give them a fake covering for their teeth to wear for the...

I never do that! I have an overbite and I don't want them moving any other place except where the wires lead them

I have even gotten paranoid to the point that I try not to touch the back of my upper teeth with my tongue!

I know, I need much prayer
