Actually, I got the point quite well. The post started out as a person describing a bad experience and probably just wanting some old fashioned "love" and someone to listen to them.
As I said before, maybe the topic had become more serious than originally intended.

Spacers were the most painful part for me.....so glad its over 8) . My suggestion is to take pain medication if needed and eat soft foods until your teeth become adjusted. The braces were uncomfortable for awhile, but now I rarely notice them. My teeth are sometimes sore after adjustments, but never...

I totally agree that we should not be in the business of scaring others. I also believe that it is important to be honest about our experiences. It may help some to know what to expect if they happen to be sensitive to certain things such as noise/temp/pressure. It seems inappropriate to assume that...

BuddyC: Congrats on getting married (assuming it is your wedding). Apparently you are marrying someone who loves you just the way you are or attending the wedding of someone who loves you just the way you are. I would suggest that you don't worry about your gap and get braces when the time is right ...

Wear: I understand what you mean. I also feel that it is ok to talk about a bad experience. Venting can help relieve the stress. Everyone should know that people react differently to things. What is a "breeze" for some may be "traumatizing" for others. I have had a few brackets removed/repositioned ...

Welcome!! :-)o I recommend that you go with the type of brackets you feel you will be most comfortable with. I have clear brackets on my upper front teeth and they do not look yellow. When I wear the clear ligs and powerchains they are very hard to see. Of course, once I tried colored powerchains th...

Blind: Good luck with the oral surgery. My scenerio was pretty much the same for the 2 wisdom teeth I had extracted. I was given IV sedation (nice dose of Valium) and it was all over in about 15 mins. The rubbing he did to find the vein hurt more than the shot. I worried myself nearly sick about hav...

Oh my goodness! I am watching "10 years younger" and the doctor said something about veneers being for older people who don't want to wear braces like there kids. The woman they put them on had crooked teeth and gum loss issues also. Won't veneers add to her gum loss??? I wanted to start yel...
