Re: Got my surgery

Also it's hard to heal if you're in pain. It really stresses the body. Please talk to your surgeon about appropriate pain relieve.

Re: Got my surgery

Hi- how are you now? Feeling better? I have tingling that feels like burning and pain. Not happy it's happening to you but now I know I'm not alone. Thanks for posting. I've had several different surgeries and have found that at some point otc's seem to work for longer periods of time than prescript...

Re: Numbness

Hi- has anyone experienced their numbness wearing off as a burning sensation? I feel little electrical pulses which are fine but the constant burning is awful. I'm only two weeks post op with sensation returning. My surgeon said my nerve was large and easy to avoid. That's about all that's gone righ...

Re: Oh the pain

Hi- I was wondering how it all turned out? I had bsso 2 weeks and 1 day ago. I have already had plates taken out( (they bent) and had screws put in. I now have pain on the left side and also an infection (not related) my ortho adjusted my bite this week and now the surgeons guide splint doesn't fit ...

My above post says I can't post product name( copyright problem I assume) but maybe you can use the description. Hopefully that is allowed.

Re: Mouth sores, when did the insides of ur mouths toughen up?

I will give you a tip: the wax didn't really work well (I was lucky, I don't really get many mouth sores) but when I did they gave me cannot mention. So amazing!!! Has two tubes of a soft rubbery substance. When you push the plunger, the two strips come out. You mix them between your fingers and put...

Re: What did your ortho "give" you?

Also anytime I need a refill of stuff I always ask. They give me whatever I need. I only really ask for prescription fluoride, smoshy stuff and sometimes a travel toothbrush if I need them.

Re: What did your ortho "give" you?

My original list of items were: travel toothbrush, wax, floss threaders, proxybrushes, toothpaste, floss, prescription floride toothpaste and lip balm. I think that's it. It's hard to remember. I will give you a tip: the wax didn't really work well (I was lucky, I don't really get many mouth sores) ...

Re: SARPE Surgery

Hi- I ended up going to the orthodontist. He was a bit short when I discussed not getting the next surgery. I was frustrated and asked what would be the next step if I proceeded. He then said, "you've seen him(the surgeon?) enough to know what's happening". He then told me I needed a lefort procedur...

Re: SARPE Surgery

To all :)- I'm not posting this negative stuff to scare anyone. If surgery is best for you then go for it. This is just my experience and I needed a place to let my experience out. Ask lots of questions and be an informed patient. Be specific with your questions so you don't get vague answers. Best ...

Re: SARPE Surgery

Metalmouth33- I am sorry to hear you are in pain. I don't think you were naive. What I've found is that the information surgical patients are given is not complete or very involved. My ortho and surgeon seem to be relaying information through me which is irritating. I know them both outside of this ...

Re: SARPE Surgery

Metalmouth33- I am new to this forum but I want you to know I feel the same way. Everyday I look in the mirror hoping my face has changed back. I'm early in the process but I am dissapointed. My face is so round now and my nose is a mess. I am obsessed with looking at old pictures and comparing. It'...
