Re: Do I need to remove my wisdom teeth?

@Tyrantblade could they be the cause of my locked jaw? I would say it's probably a possibility that they could be pressing on your TMJ (jaw joint) which could be the cause of your locked jaw. that's anatomically impossible, a jaw locks because when you open it too far it can move past the articular...

Re: Unexplainable...

Thank you for your answer! But this molar buildup is bothering me because it's not allowing me to chew and talk properly. Is this something the orthodontist removes at another appointment or is this something that dissolves away as time goes by? I needed them for almost 5 months, the were the most ...

Re: Teeth after 4 weeks (1st adjustment)

And if you take the before casts of your teeth you can really watch the changes (if you can't take them home your orthodontist can make make duplicates, he just needs to take a on impression of the cast and have it cast out in plaster again)
I wish I'd thought of that earlier and done it from the start. I only got a tiny little pack of wax and don't think I'd even have enough to do one impression!
ortho wax is free in our office, alternatively you could get some of the real stuff like https://whipmix.com/produ...
Wow never heard of that, ill give it a try !!! Thanks !
that's how dentists do it: registering your bite. Well not with ortho wax but special bite registering wax. But ortho wax will do, it's a lot cheaper and you probably have plenty at hand
I find myself constantly looking for changes . it's pretty amazing once you do see a change and compare it to before !
I take a lot of ortho wax and mold it into a horseshoe shape and use it to register my bite and compare with old wax bites

Re: Elastics without hooks?

I can't edit, so a new post. These kobayashis are actually quite comfortable compared to the regular hooks as you can bend them a little inward for normal use and outward when putting in the elastics and they are really small too

Re: Did your face change after braces?

I think so, I think my face is more symmetrical now. I think I had a forced bite which caused me to slightly move my jaw left to bite. I am less pleased with the way my lips and philtrum look however: my philtrum looks longer and more convex and my upper lip looks smaller and more pointed downwards,...

Re: Pain in one tooth?

I thought I got pulpitis in one tooth after I got my first powerchain. I took a sip of cold water and it was so painful, so sudden and unexpected that I couldn't believe it at first, so I took another sip only to experience the same. It lasted a weekend and all my teeth are fine and nerves are fine....
