Re: Jaw surgery & hospital costs in Melbourne, Australia
I pay $120/month with Aus Unity for comprehensive hospital and extras. I get back $600/year for my braces, but when I have my surgery I will not have yet served my hospital waiting period so get no cover for that. Make sure you get comprehensive cover!!! Jaw surgery is not cosmetic so that is a non...

Hi, I just had my surgery and having a bit of insomnia so spending time on this forum ;) I had lower jaw surgery to fix my open bite, but it seems most surgery is done on top jaw? My bite isn't to bad. The teeth join and I can chew food ok (not supposed to be chewing too much shhhh). Looking forward...

[quote="Jdizle"]Hi sarah I'm from Melbourne too! I just had a consult today with my third orthodontist (I wanted options) first told me sarpe then braces but the other two seemed confident they can fix it without surgery because most of my front teeth are tilted inwards way more than normal. I too a...

Re: Oral Surgeon in Melbourne Australia
I had my surgery done with Alf Nastri. My two orthos (I changed during treatment) work with him, and I'm naive and didn't think to shop around or anything. My experience: had a referral months after my first appointment with ortho (and you know how long they take). Saw him for literally two minutes)...

Re: Jaw surgery & hospital costs in Melbourne, Australia

Single jaw surgery, with wisdom teeth removal. $8100 total. Medicare won't rebate me (reciprocal card) bit i...
