I think around day 5/6 I felt like I could eat a bit more normally. The front of my teeth are still sensitive - but the back molars feel fine. I was able to eat some harder foods by day 8, and definitely not in any pain :)

Re: How to avoid chaos when using waterpik?

Ive only had braces for 2 weeks and only just bought my waterpik 2 weeks ago so Im not amazing with it by any means.. but... that being said - yes, that is all there is to it. It might help to slowly guide the pik in between the teeth to where the gum lines are. That should get out some gunk on a st...

Week 2 braces progress

Hi all - Just posting some photos of week 2. There is not any noticeable changes on my teeth being "straighter" (I think), but on my open bite things looks slightly less open :) Pretty happy I see something different so quickly. Obviously I have a long way to go. I can't wait until the top arch is s...

Jaw slip on one side - Anyone else have this?

Im curious if anyone here has a misalignment of their lower jaw? I ask because my top teeth mid-line seem ok (as far as I can tell - they are placed correctly in the middle, but maybe not), but my bottom teeth mid line is way off, and my jaw swings ever so slightly to the side. On one side of my fac...

Re: New here with Adult Braces!

Your ceramics look beautiful! I honestly wish I had those. I have Innovation C, and although they are "clear"..meh...theyre not really haha. I am not a fan of mine, but maybe I will be later?

Anyway - love yours, and good luck on your journey.

Re: Intro - Braces for the 2nd time and completely miserable.

Youre not alone. I posted a day or so ago about how Ive been feeling depressed about it. I consider myself, also , a positive person with good threshold for pain and I was barely dealing with the teeth aching day 2. For some perspective - I do Olympic weightlifting, and under a rather light lift, I ...

Re: Tips for the Newbies and Miserable

*Raises hand* Im a newbie and miserable :D Actually - its day 5, and its getting a little better. 1. Nobody cares that we have braces on our teeth. Thank you :) Im realizing this now 2. It is not selfish to want to do this for ourselves. It is important! This is totally true- and something that I no...

Re: Anterior open bite, retreating 20 yrs later, intro and ?

I think this is a really interesting post :) I too have Anterior open bite. Had braces from 15-17, everything fell in line nicely (for a while) and then a year later - open bite came back. It was theorized that it was jaw growth on one side that led again to the open bite- but my current and new ort...

Re: Just Got Innovation - C

[quote="djspeece"]I think a lot of us were a bit shocked/depressed early on when we realized the reality of braces and years of treatment looming. Of course in my case it was my first go-round with braces so I had nothing to compare it to. I would imagine that with your experience/history you had so...

Just Got Innovation - C

Hi everyone - I am new here but have been reading for quite some time. A little bit about me - I had braces from age 15-17 (Im 31 tomorrow!) and everything was more or less good after the braces came off. I dont remember them that well - just that they were periodically annoying and then periodicall...
