How is everyone getting on? 2.5 months in for me and my teeth seem to be moving brilliantly! The horrible upper-left incisor that was at an angle and slightly overlapped my front tooth is now straight, as far as I can see! I've had no sores or rubbing at all. Though my mouth feels feels very "full", although I've kind of got used to it. The last day or two, though, it's felt as if my bite is "off". It also - scarily - feels as though my upper top teeth on one side are a bit loose. However, my daughter is a dentist and...

I know! I find leeks and rocket are the worst!

I don't have a waterpik - I just rely on brushing, brushing and more brushing.

I haven't had any pain to speak of either. (I almost wish I did - I'd know the process was working!)

All fine with my braces but OMG the bands are so stained. They look hideous. The culprit: CHOCOLATE! Just going to have to stick it out (and smile with my mouth closed) for a week or two till they're changed. Don't eat chocolate! Or at least swill and brush straight afterwards. I've learned my lesso...

Day 4 and I've chewed! Not just sucked and swallowed (pardon me for such an expression, but it's literal), but gently chewed!

At this rate I might be able to do some small justice to our Easter feast at the weekend.

How are all you other newbies doing?

Funny how we're all so excited yet also slightly trepidatious! Such a positive thing for us to be doing for ourselves. As L'Oreal keeps telling us, we're worth it.

D-Day tomorrow! Giving them a final overnight bleaching so they'll be lovely and white, which will contrast nicely with the yellow-stained brackets that I've no doubt I'll manage ...

I've been frantically googling about staining. Been bleaching like mad this last week - oh, the irony if in the first week my brackets and wires end up yellow ... :-)
