Yes, now a days people are more aware about their looks. Either they are teen ager or adults. Approximately 25% of orthodentist patient are adults. Even the specialist says that the results of the adults are far better than child or teen.

I suggest you to stay calm and wait for few more months. Because It will take upto 1 to 2 years to get exact shape after surgery. So no need to worry about this,,

I think you no need to worry about afterward excercises and precautions, because your doctor will explain it to you very well.
