Re: Braces question

Congratulations on having the courage now to try again - certainly Invisalign is not suited to many of us that have way more complex issues! Oh the entire tooth, root and can move in addition to being brought to attention (vertical). Sirwired will probably chime in (resident guru here). One of the o...

Re: The dreaded "Black Triangles"

Thank you for all the input... it's reassuring to know that we aren't alone and that ultimately these unsightly areas can be fixed - my Orthodontist has indicated that some bonding work will need to be done due to a chipped central and small lateral incisors - this should also ultimately solve any o...

The dreaded "Black Triangles"

Just wondering if anyone else out there is currently struggling with the issue of unsightly black triangles appearing as your teeth begin moving....??? While I'm happy to see some movement (albeit slow @9weeks) it's definitely looking worse right now, before it gets better.....

Tandem wires

Just wondering if anyone currently has or has had, tandem wires?? Did you notice improved movement with them?? I just had my first adjustment at 8 weeks (in Clarity self ligating ceramic upper and lower). My Orthodontist added a tandem wire and assured me that there should be some significant moveme...

Re: Adjustment appointments

Just ask the ortho before he leaves. (Or ask the assistant what she's about to do.) I don't recall my ortho's assistants detailing the treatment plan for the day either. (Although due to hanging out here way too much, I did recognize most of the lingo from the ortho...) With a first adjustment @8we...

Re: What waterpik should I get?

I LOVE the Ultra and use it every day. I hate when I have to travel for work and dont get to use it. It's the first thing I go for when I walk in the door. Absolutely agree with kathydell but have invested in a (compact but still powerful enough) Waterpik Traveler Water Flosser WP-300 which I simpl...

Re: Progress at 42!!

Well, instead of repositioning a couple of brackets, he decided to put a considerably stronger wire on the bottom. I'm sure feeling that today. He also said I won't be getting the braces off in April. :| He said he could take them off, but there is still movement that can be achieved. I've waited t...

Re: Fidget's story

Good to see and hear that @4weeks you have positive progress... :-#) When is your first adjustment in the self ligating braces? (I'm 4 weeks in Clarity SL - having to be reaaaaaal patient to see any movement - looking every day, as we do, but as yet only finding flossing between some teeth "easier"....
