Re: June/July Surgery Buddies

Iwould only have gone back part-time anyway - literally 9am to as long as I could manage 11, 12, 1pm? But I think I'll plan cover in for the 3rd week, then I can still...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Hey July peeps Thanks for posting - I'm soaking in all your experiences for when I get my op 10th August. I had appt today with surgical team & they decided on movements. My top jaw will be turning 3mm to the right and 5mm back. Bottom jaw movements I didn't catch but I would think approx 3mm back??...

The bottom jaw movements I didn't catch but I thing 2-3 mm back should slot it in nicely behing my top teeth. They will put the stitch in to minimise nose widening. My nose ...

Re: August surgery buddies
Just counted - I have 21 surgical hooks!!! 10 on top, 11 on bottom. I didn't use any wax - had some sore bits but was fine after a few days. They are no problem but EVERYTHING get stuck behind them so cleaning becomes more laborious.
I'm the same - just want it sorted!

Re: August surgery buddies
Hi bimaxman & adorkable! August 4th - you should be just over the worst as we're heading in to surgery on the 10th & 11th. It's hard when they're uncertain on date - think mine should go ahead unless surgeon is ill or something like that. I'm hoping to go back to work after 2 weeks as well, so will ...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
I have bought a kind of frame for sleeping upright post-op so I'm glad to hear that you feel sleeping upright has helped your swelling go down. Fingers crossed it works for me too.

Wow it is a torture device!
Those with experience say you'll get used to it & they are the best advisers. It does seem very daunting tho x
