Re: chichi is braced!

A lot of my teeth have been clicky the past few days. It's been 4 weeks since my last adjustment and NOW they decide to start moving around again? Oh well... at least it doesn't hurt 8) I notice my teeth would get clicky/clacky a week after an adjustment and a week before adjustments... Just weird ...

Re: Wow... Bloody molar bands batman!!

Ouchy! Are you sure its not the wire sticking out from the molar band that's causing the irritation? Have you tried putting a glob of wax back there to help your cheeks toughen up? To see if it's the wire sticking out, place your finger back there and see if it catches it like a needle would. If so...

Wow... Bloody molar bands batman!!

Man, the molar bands are doing a number in my cheeks!!! It's not painful but my cheeks looks tore up... Anyone has any suggestions to stop this? I have already seen ortho to smooth the edges but it's still doing this.. Again, it's not painful but it looks terrible!!

Re: Round wire? Square wire?

Oh!! This helps a lot!! I had my wires changed to a bigger wire but I was not told all the specific of it, such as the size and the material the wire is made of. Do you have to ask or your ortho volunteer that info to you without asking? Thanks!! I don't know what it's like at your ortho's office, ...

Re: Round wire? Square wire?

The round wires are used in the beginning of treatment. They loosen up your teeth and start the initial movement. They use a lower force and take care of rotations and bring teeth mostly into alignment. The square/rectangular wires tend to be thicker and apply more force. These shape your arch and ...

Round wire? Square wire?

I noticed that some of us have round wires and some squared. What does the different type of wire do? For example, round wire align the teeth and the square toque the teeth? Just wondering how the different wire works.

Re: The 3 week wait !!

Here is my week 7 picture, and 1 week after my first adjustment. I'm definitely seeing some progress on the uppers now. The lowers are slower going, but they are sore this week so hopefully that is a good sign! I can already tell, with the little bit of movement I have experienced and getting a sne...

Re: No pain since braces

Your teeth are going to look really great when you're all done! Thank you mrscharisma!!! The band rubs so bad that wax does not help.. I cut up a little piece of cotton and finally!!! Some relief from the poking and rubbing. I think I got a sore on my cheeks from the wire and end of the band ... I ...

Re: Extractions?

Just my personal view on this. I'll try to keep all my teeth as much as I can. I had a chip on a molar which was causing some sensitivity problems when drinking cold water. I was told that I can just keep coming back for them to paint some clear bonding agent on it (forgot the name of it) or grind i...
