Re: Extracted molar
I have full metal braces upper and lower and no bands around any teeth at this juncture. Maybe that will happen later. Or maybe it depends on the case. Or maybe since I'm getting a TAD it's moot? They don't tell me everything!!! :o I should add I am signed up for SureSmile so I don't know if that ma...

Re: How many brackets have fallen off during your treatment?
One came loose almost immediately after it was applied (at the ortho) so don't know if that counts. I've been told to expect it with 25 per cent of my teeth being crowns, but one week in, so far so good. I'm hoping sticking to smooth food might help since that's all I want to eat right now anyway, a...

Re: Food, Glorious Food
This is only my first week, but I notice you have had your braces for three months, Ciara! So maybe this is the new normal and I should buy stock in Del Monte.

Re: Does anyone actually have traditional metal braces anymo
I have upper and lower full metal braces. Old school all the way. I was told there was no difference except price, which was considerable. It was a difficult decision.

Food, Glorious Food
I'm anxious to try it. After five days, still not eating anything I have to bite down on. I am currently living on Cream of Wheat and these amazing snacks from Del Monte called Fruit Chillers. The Arctic Strawberry is awesome. Anyone else try these? I could eat them all day, and do.

Re: Ladies: Do you wear lipstick?
I'm thinking hot pink for Spring! I think bright lipstick really sets them off. Braces aren't pretty but I'm so glad to finally have them, liquid diet and all.

Re: What is your number?
16 months... I have full metal braces upper and lower with a rubber band on one side. Some IPR was done on lower front in lieu of extraction. I will have my wires changed to SureSmile at some point and am slated for a TAD on the same side with the rubber band. This is Day 5....

Yes! I've worn bright red and softer colors, and I prefer bright red. I have metal braces upper and lower.

Re: HEY EVERYONE: I need your opinions plz on a new toothbru
It sounds (no pun intended) amazing! I'm wondering if not physically brushing the brackets and wires so much might be a good thing.

Sonicare air flosser?
I am trying to decide between a WaterPik and the Sonicare air flosser. Has anyone used the air flosser? Can anyone comment on the difference between the basic WaterPik and other models? Ditto electric toothbrushes if you want to throw that in. These things are spendy so hope to make a good choice. T...
