Re: Bracket Repositioning--I snuck a pic with them off!
Fun! Did it hurt getting those off? I like your one bracket that is still there! Looks like tooth jewelry.

Re: What kind of Braces do you have?
I have ceramic clears on top and never broken anything yet at almost 19 months down. After the early on removal of my bits turbo s or whatever they are called i am actually a bit nervous for the braces removal because it kinda hurt as they seemed to be really stuck. I was pretty worried about breaki...

Re: Beckyboo in Braces
I don't normally drink coffee but I had a coffee drink yesterday and a coffee drink today and have managed to turn my clear powerchain a lovely light golden shade. WHOOPSIE! Now I can see why people avoid clear when they drink coffee. I've never turned one this dark before.

Re: What kind of Braces do you have?
I have Self ligating too... In-Ovation somethings.
But even though you don't have the rubber bands now, you could (and most likely will probably) get a powerchain which is a string of those rubber bands basically. Then you can have fun colors if you want!

I never did eat with them in, unless it was a super quick snack. Wax, on the other hand, I have consumed a few times.

Re: Beckyboo in Braces
October 25th is not the date. LOL Now I think it'll be December 6th. One of my front teeth was not QUITE right still... like the tiniest bit off, but still off. So he adjusted again, and now it's right!! So on Oct 25th, I think I'll get my impression for the bottom retainer and then they will come o...

Re: Is it normal to use power chain on few teeth only ?
I think it's pretty normal too. I only had a powerchain on the front 4 teeth for a few months. Just don't get a color and no one will even notice. And you'll definitely have to accept weird gaps opening up here and there. Everyone always says it gets worse before it gets better, and it's totally tru...

Re: Braces causing yellow teeth??
Sometimes it's the mouthwash. What kind are you using?
Not sure what you are using but Crest Pro Health can cause some brown staining, I had this a little bit. Thankfully the hygienist was able to clean it off but check into that.

Re: Teeth crooked after adjustment
I've definitely had some "uhh that looks worse... not better!" moments. Especially if you are only 7 months in, I would say it's normal to have things be all wonky still. Pretty sure my smile wasn't great at 7 months either... my gap sure wasn't closed then. Like a week before I was in my sister's w...

Re: braces tightened 1st time....OUCH!!!
I think this is really common with the 1st real change to happen. Did you take any pain meds like any hour before? That should help. I have self ligating braces so I don't get ligature changes (except for powerchains). So for my first appointment, they opened and closed my doors but that was it and ...

It's a little over 19 months. My treatment time was 18-21 months so it's about right.

Re: Are elastics as annoying as braces?
I think, like the braces, everyone has such different experiences. It all depends on the orientation and stuff. I wore then for a little while and yeah my teeth were sore at first (mostly the 4 teeth the elastics were hooked to) but I didn't have much of a problem with them. And wear them as prescri...

Re: Beckyboo in Braces
I MIGHT have a debracing date!! I went in for this appointment and he said that once we get my front two teeth squared up good (the one is just sitting a little weird.), I'll be good. Then the next appointment, we will do impressions for my permanent bottom retainer, then the next appointment after ...

Re: Stupid question... Can there be no pain?
Well, you had soreness... that's technically pain but either it's not real bad or you are just tough! I'd say I mostly had soreness also, but my first wire change on top, I would call it pain! That one adjustment was the worst I had it. Then rest was just soreness for a few days.
